A ward at the hospital where Kate Middleton is due to give birth has been closed due to a superbug.
The ward has been closed after at the royal London hospital because of the superbug that have made several patients to fall ill.
‘A ward at St Mary’s is temporarily not taking new admissions after we found a small number of vascular patients were carrying a micro-organism in their gut,’ a spokeswoman for Imperial College NHS trust told the Mirror.
‘Unfortunately three of these patients developed localised infections. All have completely recovered.’
The Telegraph reports that eight patients are believed to have contracted a stomach bug called carbapenemase producing enterobacteriaceae.
