See the Naija Lawmaker That Was Barred from Politics for Life

Vincent Bulus has lost his seat in Plateau State House of Assembly and barred for life from politics. He had won the Langtang South Constituency seat but his opponent, Jackson Danladi, of the APC, contested the victory, saying the lawmaker was not fit to vie for the election as he was an ex-convict.

Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Akeredolu, in her judgment with evidence, ruled that:

“The respondent, having been convicted of an offence involving fraud and dishonesty by a court of law, was not qualified to contest the election into the Plateau State House of Assembly to represent Langtang South constituency.

“Therefore, the election and return of the first respondent as member of Plateau State House of Assembly to represent Langtang South is a nullify.”
