The wife of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Aishat Buhari,congratulated her husband, Muhammadu Buhari on his victory in the Presidential elections.
Buhari defeated President, Goodluck Jonathan with over 2 million votes in the presidential electon held on the 28th and 29th of March.
Mrs Buhari took to her newly created Twitter handle, @IamAishaBuhari to felicitate with her husband.
“I am so proud of my husband and the team who have worked hard to make this happen,” she tweeted.
“Nigerians are aware now more than ever that the people have the power to sway the fate of a nation.
" We must see this as a triumphant show of democracy, a change for the better.I am excited for the future of this nation as we now have a mandate for Change,”
She said,“It has been a gripping day for democracy in Nigeria,”.
