The boy on the right his David but was given birth to as a girl called Mia in 2010. The parents, Joe and Mimi said Mia was very uncomfortable growing her hair like girls but would rather preferred a boyish haircut.
The parent said she was very uncomfortable with her dresses and would change about 12 times in a day until she was given a blue jumper with a dog on the front, which she then wore for six months.
However his parents Mimi and Joe explained there were signs that Mia wasn’t comfortable in her own skin.
Mimi said: ‘In hindsight I think what she was trying to do was to dispel a sense of discomfort in her, in the way her image was being shown to the world.
The parents said she was then often complaining saying"why did God make him to be a girl". They said, Mia was often withdrawn and noticeably different from her sisters.
Mimi said they were confused and concerned about Mia because she was never comfortable being a girl. She wanted to be treated like a boy.
They are now 100 per cent supportive of Jacob’s transition.
