Barack Obama visited Jamaica on Wednesday. He was the first sitting president to visit the place since 1982.
As he arrived he visited a lot of people including Jamaican Prime minister Portia Simpson- Miller. He then headed to the Bob Marley Museum- the former home of the superstar musician. after a hotel stop. The legend died in 1981 of cancer.
Obama went in company of National security officer , Susan Rice. He had a good tour in the Museum. While Obama was looking at the displayed Bob Marley Framed records he mentioned that he still has those albums.
The statue of Bob Marley playing guitar was erected right at the outside of the museum.
Obama was also scheduled to meet Simpson - Miller and also Caricon region bloc and possibly to give advice on Venezuelah oil.
He will be heading toward Panama to have a landmark meeting with President Paul Castro. vanguard.ng
