Why My Wife Divorced Me – Oyakhilome

Chris Onyakhilome , spoke out his mind about the allegation levelled against him in relation to his marital status. According to Nigerian magazine, The pastor spoke  his out his mind on Sunday evening during the monthly global communion service in the church.

Oyakhilome described the allegation as "crazy and "stupid" and he urged the church to pray for Rev Anita, his estranged wife. He said the act of Divorce is un- Biblical but he said he may opt for it if Anita insist on it.

He said a lot of nasty things had been written by some media houses  about him and there had been no iota of truth in them.

He said the same was said about Jesus Christ and eventually he overcame. All he needs to do according to him is to be steadfast and he too will overcome.

He said further that he is a man of God and that no man of God does something against God.        “You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God".

He said he is not a preacher but a man of God and people should not automatically take a man of God's wife to be a woman of God.  That even in the Bible the names ofmen of God's wives were not mentioned.

Oyakhilome said he does the will of God and that may cause problem for individuals and may be taken for doing wrongs and whereas he has not done anything wrong. He urged the church to pray for Reverend Anita.

He urged the church not to judge  other people but to stay focused in  the Lord. He said at times you want to don't want to do things that are un-biblical ,like divorce, but when the other partner takes you there, you have no choice than to take some steps. 

In April 2014, Anita Oyakhilome filed for divorce at Central Family Court, High Holborn, London, UK, citing her husband’s “unreasonable behaviour” and inappropriate relationships with members of staff.                                                                             Pic.Information.ng.                                                                                                      Story;Nigerianmag.
