The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby girl at 8.34am this morning, after being admitted to hospital shortly after 6am.the birth was witnessed by Prince William, the father of the baby.
The new arrival, who has yet to be named, was born weighing a healthy 8lbs, 3oz in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital, in Paddington.
Both the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge were said to be ‘doing well’ after the birth, a spokeperson from Kensington Palace said.
