Court orders Mohbad’s wife to do DNA for Liam
In a court session held in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, the Magistrate Court has instructed that Wunmi, the wife of the late singer Mohbad, be notified about a pending DNA test application through alternative means. Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team representing the Aloba family, announced this on April 17th. Joseph Aloba, Mohbad's father, requested in an application filed by the family's legal team that Wunmi be served by posting all legal documents related to the case at her last-known address. The legal team, led by Emmanuel Oroko, argued that previous attempts by the sheriff to serve Wunmi had failed. The Chief Magistrate agreed and ordered that Wunmi be served by posting the court documents at her last known address. The Aloba family is disputing the paternity of baby Liam and has filed an application before the Family Court, seeking an order for Wunmi and baby Liam to undergo a DNA test at a recognized laboratory in Lagos, as stated by Odumosu.
